Hana Hicks, MSc Student

Hana (she/her/hers) is a MSc student in the School of Kinesiology working under the supervision of Dr. Puterman. She completed two undergrads in her home city of Halifax, Nova Scotia at Saint Mary’s University (sociology/psychology). In between her degrees she worked at a Sport and Conditioning gym and trained athletes focusing on improving not only their performance, but also their overall quality of life. Having played sports her entire life (her true love is volleyball), her main interests involve learning about the impact one’s psychological state has on athletic performance. Hana is currently working on a project exploring the psychological impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on athletes. She hopes to continue to work with athletes of all backgrounds in the future, specifically focusing on strengthening their psychological qualities to improve their physical game.
